Harris County Sheriff's Office sergeant faces multiple charges, relieved of duty, deputies say

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Harris County Sheriff's Office sergeant was arrested on Thursday morning, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

The deputy was identified as Sgt. Freder Munoz, who now faces charges of assault family violence, terroristic threat, and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to FBCSO.

According to HCSO, Munoz has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation.

At this time, details are limited in the sergeant's case as an investigation is ongoing.
