SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- More than 250 art cars are participating in the 39th annual Art Car Parade, and returning this year is artist Kimi Bainter of Spring.
"Art Car Parade means everything to me," Bainter shared with us.
Bainter told ABC13 she has participated in Houston's unique parade for 13 years. Last year, her design "Madonna Iguana" was awarded second place in the art car category. The year before, she took first place for her design "Baby YodaHead."
"I change my car every year, and so this year, I thought I'd do something not so sweet and kind."
For the 2026 parade, Bainter crafted a design titled "Winter is Coming," inspired by the television show Game of Thrones.
In the video above, we joined the artist as she molded and crafted the car to look like the character, the Night King.
The 39th annual Houston Art Car Parade, presented by Team Gillman, returns Saturday, April 11.
ABC13 will live stream the parade starting at 2pm on Saturday, April 11.
