HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Harris County Precinct 3 constable deputy accused of attacking nurses at a Baytown hospital on New Year's Day is out on bond, records show.

Robert Earl Nobles, Jr. was bonded out of custody on Jan. 23, according to court records. Baytown police said they arrested Nobles on New Year's Day after he allegedly assaulted three nurses at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital while receiving treatment.

Nobles was relieved of his duties as a sergeant shortly after the alleged assault, according to Pct. 3's office, but was not immediately arrested.

Court records show Nobles was charged with three counts of assault on hospital personnel and is expected back in court on Friday.
