I-69 Southwest Freeway ramps to I-610 West Loop reopen after deadly crash: HPD

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police said a deadly crash is under investigation, which blocked a portion of the Southwest Freeway on Friday morning.

Houston TranStar reported the incident on the I-69 Southwest Freeway northbound at the I-610 West Loop at about 5:20 a.m.

The Southwest Freeway ramps to the West Loop in both directions were closed but reopened at about 8:15 a.m.

Officials are reporting a fatality, saying they received preliminary information about a person trapped in a vehicle.

Authorities have not provided additional details at this point.
