Lanes reopened after overturned big rig shuts down portion of East Freeway before Hardy for hours

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Crews have finished cleaning up the aftermath of a crash involving an 18-wheeler along the East Freeway on Wednesday.

The crash was reported just after 3 a.m. on I-10 East before Hardy and McKee Street. According to Houston TranStar, the crash was cleared at about 1:06 p.m., roughly 10 hours after the crash.

TranStar cameras showed the big rig overturned, shutting down several eastbound lanes as a result.

An ABC13 photojournalist on scene said the truck had been moved to a nearby ramp for some time before all eastbound lanes were reopened.
