Highway 290 WB at 34th Street reopened after being shut down due to deadly motorcycle crash: HFD

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A deadly motorcycle crash is under investigation after shutting down a portion of Highway 290 on Monday morning, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Houston TranStar reported the incident along the Northwest Freeway westbound lanes at 34th Street just before 3:30 a.m., leading to an hourslong closure. According to TranStar, the wreck was cleared as of 6:41 a.m.

It's unknown what led to the crash, but police continue investigating.
