HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A gas leak in Cypress prompted a neighborhood to shelter in place on Friday afternoon.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department said the leak was reported in Creekland Village at Bridgeland, near Grand Parkway and Jack Road.
Residents were advised to stay indoors for some time before the shelter-in-place as lifted.
According to CenterPoint Energy, a third-party contractor was doing work in the area and hit a gas line.
CenterPoint said it has crews assessing the area for repairs.
