Canadian cat becomes local legend for crossing border without 'paws-port'

A cuddly culprit in Canada seems to be ignoring international law on a daily basis.

Louie, officially Louis Vuitton, like the designer, is a cat who is a serial border hopper and has become a local legend and social media star.

Despite strict laws and the watchful eye of U.S. Border Patrol, Louie frequently crosses a small ditch that serves as the border between the U.S. and South Surrey, Canada.

Neighbors say Louie likes hunting in the U.S. and often brings his prey back into Canada without declaring them to customs officials.

"He doesn't go through customs. He's got a pawsport," one resident said.
