The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division confirmed it was investigating two scenes related to the deadly shooting.

Detectives told Eyewitness News that the incident began at a home on Bandlon Drive when a homeowner saw on his security cameras that people were burglarizing his house. They added that the homeowner called his neighbors, who confronted two suspects.
