Abraham Quintanilla, father of Latina icon Selena, has died, family says

Abraham Quintanilla, the father of late music icon Selena Quintanilla, has died, family announced Saturday.

Abraham "A.B." Isaac Quintanilla III announced his father dead via social media.

"It's with a heavy heart to let you guys know that my Dad passed away today," he said.

Quintanilla managed and helped launch Selena's career, ABC San Antonio affiliate KSAT reported.

His cause of death was not shared to the public.
