North Shore shuts out Lancaster in 35-0 win
Defending 6A Division I state champions picked up where they left off last season. Mustangs allow only 45 yards of total offense in the first half. Quarterback Darrell Haynes had two rushing touchdowns before the break; Trey Taylor added another. Lorenzo Lathan Jr. returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
Randle beats South Oak Cliff in 20-14 victory
Season-opening rematch of the 5A Division II state championship from a year ago. South Oak Cliff won that game, 35-19. Randle is seeking redemption, and they got it. Texas commit Landen Williams-Callis ran for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
C.E. King thumps Conroe in 70-10 win
C.E. King played in the 6A Division II state championship a year ago, and they look like they have the team to return to Jerry World in late December. Panthers racked up 641 yards on offense.
Shadow Creek gets past Summer Creek in 24-14 victory
Shadow Creek did most of their scoring in the first half. Quarterback Tavis Coleman threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with Aden Starling, B.J. LaFell and his twin brother Bryce on first quarter touchdown passes.
Ridge Point outlasts Dickinson in 29-26 win

Fort Bend Crawford cruises past La Porte in 51-24 win
Alvin "A1" Mosley of Crawford showed why he's one of the best receivers in the Houston area. The Ole Miss commit scored three touchdowns and over 200 yards receiving. Mosley also had over 100 yards on returns, including a punt return touchdown.
The Woodlands College Park beats Iowa Colony in a 38-10 victory
The Woodlands College Park is loaded with talent and won their season opener over Iowa Colony. The Cavaliers have Cincinnati commit Camden Hughes throwing to Clemson commit Julian Cromartie, Kaylen Stevens, and Antonio Booker at running back. The defense is headlined by the No.1 defensive tackle in the nation, RJ Wyms, TE/DE James, and hard-hitting safety James Cabarrus.
Mayde Creek gets past Elkins in 2OT victory
Elkins' Tyson Craft ran for over 200 yards and four touchdowns against Mayde Creek, but Rams quarterback AJ Ward had four touchdowns of his own. Ward ran for two scores and threw for two more, including an amazing pass tipped by Mayde Creek receiver Chad Nelson, before Nelson secured the ball to tie the score at 35 and send the game into double overtime. Rams won the game on a field goal made by Michael Garcia.
