22-year-old pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver while crossing roadway, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department says a man is in the hospital after he was hit by a truck driver on Thursday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at about 6 a.m. at 5814 Harvey Wilson Dr.

HPD said the 22-year-old pedestrian was crossing the roadway when a Chevy Silverado hit him.

Police said the vehicle took off, and the man was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Authorities did not have additional information about the incident or the driver who fled the scene.
