HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Two drivers were killed in two separate crash scenes on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

At about 8 a.m., Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared a post about a deadly crash on the 15200 block of US-290. Gonzalez said the crash involved a commercial vehicle, possibly an 18-wheeler, and another vehicle. At least one person was pronounced dead.

Video from SkyEye showed a vehicle slammed into the back of the large truck.

Also on the northwest side, prior to this scene, just before 3 a.m., deputies responded to a crash in the 6100 block of North Beltway W. at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Highway 249. Once there, deputies found a motorcyclist on the ground - he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclists suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist was stopped along the eastbound service road when the vehicle was heading the same way, failed to control their speed, and hit the victim.

Authorities said the driver involved was not intoxicated and is cooperating.

The identities of the victims have not been released, as an investigation is ongoing in both cases.
