VP Mike Pence won't eat alone with any woman except his wife

Vice President Mike Pence won't eat in a room alone with another woman besides his wife, Karen Pence.

That was one revelation from a Washington Post article detailing aspects of his 32-year marriage. According to journalist Ashley Parker, Pence told The Hill in 2002 that he won't attend events where alcohol is served without his wife.

Parker used that information in a tweet to promote her story.

Parker posted a series of other tweets about her story, however the one about Pence's dining rule attracted the most attention.

However, several people were quick to defend Pence for using specific behavior to protect his marriage.
