Driver with stolen trailer leads police on wild chase

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver towing a stolen trailer led police on a chase from Conroe to Houston.

It started when police saw a pickup truck towing a trailer with no tail lights.

Authorities say they attempted to stop the driver, but he took off, heading south on I-45. Authorities eventually found the pickup and trailer at Greens Plaza and Plaza Verde.

The driver tried to make a turn, crashed and the trailer came unhitched. That trailer turned out to be stolen from Conroe.

Eyewitnesses saw two guys run away. Those men remain on the loose.
