Farmer launches line of skin products made from lard

CONCORD, VA -- A Virginia farmer believes he has the next big thing in skin-care -- pig lard.

It's the main ingredient in his new line of beauty products called "Healfast." WSET reported that James Henderson of Concord debuted the line last weekend. He says lard heals acne, wounds, burns and scars.

Henderson says "Healfast" products are infused with essential oils and plant extracts, some of which are grown on Henderson's own farm. He says lard is nature's best-kept beauty secret.

"We really do believe in the phrase 'praise the lard' here," Henderson said. "It's amazing how healing it is."
