Squirrel dives at officer in crazy body cam video

NEW YORK, New York (KTRK) -- Body cam video shows a unique encounter for officers in a New York City apartment.

The police were called when a squirrel broke into the apartment and was helping itself to some Christmas cookies.

While the officers were searching for the furry bandit the body cam shows the squirrel dive at the officer.

Neither the officer nor the squirrel were hurt in the encounter.

The squirrel was eventually captured safely and released back outside.
