9 men, including former Astros draft pick, arrested for trying to meet teens for sex in Harris County
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Harris County Precinct 1 Constable's Office said an undercover chat sting resulted in multiple arrests, including a 75-year-old man attempting to meet with a teenager and a former Astros draft pick.
Deputies said 75-year-old Williard Billings took a scooter and bus to meet what he thought was a 15-year-old.
Michael Schurz, 32, was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 44 round of the 2009 MLB June Amateur Draft, according to the Baseball Reference.
Deputies said Billings and Schurz are among the nine people arrested for attempting to meet with minors.

Charge: Online solicitation of a minor and additionally charged with assault on a police officer. He allegedly tried to take a weapon from the police officer

Occupation: Former minor league baseball player. He also worked for the Astros organization. Currently employed as a baseball instructor
