Official: Boil water notice in effect for Bolivar Peninsula

GALVESTON, Texas -- A boil water notice is currently in effect for residents on the Bolivar Peninsula.

A Galveston County spokeswoman told the Associated Press that about 2,000 people live year-round on the Bolivar Peninsula, a narrow strip of land on the Gulf of Mexico. The peninsula is primarily beachfront homes in a number of small communities.
