HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash on the North Freeway that killed a driver.
It happened around 9:45pm last night on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Spring Stuebner.
Witnesses told police they saw a man speeding in a pickup truck and driving recklessly on the freeway. The driver then crashed into the back of a car, causing his truck to flip several times and land on a concrete barrier.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the vehicle. He died on scene.
A man and woman in the other car were taken to hospital. Both are expected to survive.
