EXCLUSIVE: Family wants justice for daughter killed and burned

RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- A young mother of two whose body was found in a burning car earlier this year has been identified, according to police.

In January, the badly burned remains of 21-year-old Lorraine Diaz were found in a 2016 silver Nissan Altima, according to authorities.

Lorraine was discovered in a remote area on FM 762 near Richmond.

"She was always trying to be a better person," said Lorraine's father Jesus Diaz. "I hope God has her in a better place."

To this day Lorraine's family wants to know who would kill her and why.

Lorraine's father said it has affected him more than anyone could ever imagine

"It was my worst my nightmare. I couldn't give her an open casket," said Diaz.

There is now a $10,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is following up on some leads, but just like Lorraine's family, they are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.

"There's a God," said Diaz. "If you don't pay in this lifetime, the next one for sure."
