Three people rescued from rising flood waters along Buffalo Bayou

Three people trapped under a bridge along the Buffalo Bayou had to be rescued by Houston firefighters when the heavy rain caused the bayou to suddenly rise

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Three people were rescued after being trapped by rising flood waters in downtown Houston.

Firefighters spotted three people trapped under a bridge at Congress and Smith. All three were trapped there when the waters of Buffalo Bayou quickly rose overnight.

A Houston Firefighter rescue team put a boat into the bayou to reach the people trapped under the bridge. All three were then brought safely back to shore.
