AUSTIN, TX (KTRK) -- Could you use $17,500? That's what the reward is up to for information that leads investigators to one of the fugitives on the list of Texas' most wanted.

Freddie Alaniz, 34, is this week's featured fugitive. He's wanted for murder, sexual assault of a child and possession of marijuana.

In February 2006, Alaniz was arrested for aggravated assault in San Antonio for allegedly stabbing a man during a fight, but was able to make bail and subsequently fled. The victim later died as a result of his injuries, and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for Alaniz on a murder charge. His arrest warrant for sexual assault of a child stems from a 2006 incident in Zavala County.

Alaniz is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. His appearance may have significantly changed. The photo here is from 2006. He has tattoos on his left hand, legs, right arm and shoulder.

If you know his whereabouts, you're asked to call the Department of Public Safety at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). All tips remain anonymous.
