Police: Driver dies fleeing scene of fender bender

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver died after fleeing the scene of a fender bender on the West Loop last night.

Police say a Chevy Tahoe was involved in a minor accident on Westheimer and the West Loop. But the driver of the Tahoe sped off instead of exchanging insurance information.

The Tahoe driver was trying to turn left on Woodway when he lost control of his SUV and flipped. He was killed instantly.

Police say there is no evidence he had been drinking.
