For the first time today, Cassidy broke her silence. She spoke to hundreds of supportive neighbors and friends in her hometown of Spring.

The suspect in a north Harris County shooting last Wednesday that left six people -- including four children -- dead and a seventh wounded finally gave himself up after a chase and standoff that lasted for hours.

At a press conference, authorities identified the suspect as Ron Haskell, 33. He will be charged with multiple counts of capital murder.
