Houston FBI needs help finding 'Scream' bank robber

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The FBI is asking for the public's help to find a man they say wears a 'Scream' mask during bank robberies in Houston.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 160 to 170 pounds with a slim build. They say he walks with a distinct swagger. In the video he's seen wearing a black or grey 'hoodie', black pants, black gloves, and black and white 'Converse' tennis shoes.

The mask is white but it is sometimes painted black. The FBI says he carries a weapon, and is concerned about what might happen if he tries to rob another bank.

"Typically these individuals get more and more aggressive as they go, and we certainly don't want this to result in the injury or death of anybody," said FBI spokesperson, Christina Garza.

The incidents happened at the following locations and on the dates listed.

ROBBERY: August 17, 2015 -- Prosperity Bank, 1915 Aldine Bender Rd, Houston

The armed, masked suspect approached a bank employee who was opening the bank for business, entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then fled in a silver, circa 2009, Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV.

ATTEMPT: November 10, 2015 -- Prosperity Bank, 1615 Little York Rd, Houston

The suspect tried to force his way into the bank as an employee was opening the bank for business. The employee managed to lock the door from the inside, locking the suspect out. The suspect fled.

ATTEMPT: November 12, 2015 -- Prosperity Bank, 12602 Memorial Dr, Houston

The suspect was spotted crouching next to the bank's AC unit by an arriving employee. The employee noticed the suspect was wearing a mask and ran across the street to call police.

ROBBERY: November 13, 2015 -- Prosperity Bank, 1430 Research Forest Dr, Shenandoah

The armed, masked suspect approached an employee who was unlocking the bank's main entrance door. Once inside, he forced the bank employees to place money into a backpack. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
