CONROE, TX -- A homeless Conroe man charged with robbing a local bank in January changed his plea to guilty Tuesday morning just before a jury was set to enter the 359th state District Court.

Adam Kozdra, 40, faced trial for the Jan. 15 aggravated robbery of the Capital One Bank in the 1700 block of North Loop 336 West.

Before court was in session Tuesday, Kozdra asked to approach Judge Kathleen Hamilton's bench. He gave a five-minute speech about protecting the integrity of the struggling homeless community in Conroe, stating he was uncomfortable with a jury being presented images of him robbing a bank.
