Stafford student surprised by heartwarming military homecoming

STAFFORD, Texas (KTRK) -- A lunchroom military surprise brought a Stafford High School junior to tears Monday afternoon.

Alyssa Jackson thought she was getting a present from her principal for being named "Athlete of the Week."

But it was all a ruse.

Her big sister, U.S. Army Pvt. Jasmine Morales, was in-cahoots with the principal to surprise Alyssa.

Pvt. Morales has been away with the Army for six months and is home for a short leave.
