FRIENDSWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- Students at Clear Brook High School in Friendswood were evacuated from the school building due to a gas leak.
According to a school district spokesperson, a construction crew working at the building hit a line, causing the leak.
No students or staff were injured. The school was evacuated as a precaution. Students were allowed back into the building, where they are being held in the gym for early dismissal.
Crews are working to repair the leak, but repairs will take longer than anticipated so the decision was made to dismiss the campus.
