Driver dead, three children hospitalized after two vehicle crash

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver is dead after police say he crashed into the back of a pickup truck. The car he was driving had three children inside.

It happened around 12:40am this morning in the 12,000 block of West Bellfort.

Police say the driver of the vehicle crashed into the back of a Ford F-150, flipping his car three times. The car then hit a fire hydrant, a telephone box and several mailboxes before coming to a stop.

The force of the crash threw out the male driver, killing him. The other passengers were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
