DPS: Rig driver who led deputies on chase in Ft. Bend Co. says he was on meth

ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- The driver of a big rig who led deputies on a chase through Ft. Bend County Friday reportedly told deputies he was on meth.

The pursuit ended along the Southwest Freeway northbound at Highway 36 in Rosenberg. Once the driver stopped, he reportedly told the deputies the DPS that he was on meth.

He was taken into custody. Charges are pending.

No one was hurt during the crash, but it backed up traffic coming into town.
