CRYSTAL BEACH, TX -- The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a 12-year-old boy who was found on an inner tube off Crystal Beach.



The boy was reportedly swimming with his family at Crystal Beach on Bolivar Peninsula Tuesday when he was pulled out into the Gulf.



A Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was called to the scene. They report the boy had drifted 300 to 400 yards into the ocean.



The boy was safely rescued and returned to his family.
