Mass shooting survivor Cassidy Stay named to school's homecoming court

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Cassidy Stay, the lone survivor of a cold-blooded attack on a family in Spring, TX, was named to her school's homecoming court Friday night.

Cassidy told Eyewitness News, "If my parents would be here at the game with me, they'd be cheering me on."

Cassidy is a flutist in the Klein Collins High School Marching Band. She added, "It's just - it's just fun because the band is my family, so I just feel right at home."

Cassidy is one of seven family members shot execution-style inside their Spring home in July by accused gunman Ron Haskell.
