Broken oven causes fire at McDonald's

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A fire forced the evacuation of a McDonald's restaurant in northwest Harris County.

It happened at the McDonald's on Highway 249 at Antoine around 8:00pm last night.

Employees tell us the oven used to heat the Chicken McNuggets caught fire and filled the restaurant with smoke.

There were about a dozen people inside the restaurant at the time, but everyone got out safely.

The business will likely remain shut down for a couple of days for repairs.
