Brazoria Co. man wins a cool $2M in Powerball

A Brazoria County resident is now a couple million dollars richer after hitting it big in a Powerball jackpot.

The Rosharon man matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn, but missed on the Powerball in the September 9 drawing. The ticket was purchased at the Shell station located at 6955 Griggs Road in Houston

He just claimed his winnings, which was a cool $2 million.

Powerball jackpots start at $40 million and roll until the jackpot is won. Players win the jackpot by matching the five white ball numbers (1-59) and the red Powerball number (1-35).
