Apply for federal aid if you were affected by last month's severe weather in Houston area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If you were affected by last month's severe storms and tornadoes, you are being encouraged to register for federal disaster aid.

A Presidential Disaster Declaration makes federal help available to people and business owners in Brazoria, Galveston, Harris and Liberty Counties.

If you are approved for disaster assistance, homeowners and renters may get grants to pay for things like temporary housing and some personal property losses.
