WEBSTER, TX (KTRK) -- Jurors have convicted a man of killing his mother at a Webster flower shop in 2013.
Mark Dickey slumped his shoulders and looked down as the guilty-of-murder verdict was read this afternoon.
Prosecutors claim Dickey tried to make it look like his mother was killed during a robbery.
She was shot in the back of the head while opening a safe.
Dickey's lawyer claims the shooting was an accident, that he shot his mother trying to unjam a gun.
The case was tried in March but ended in a hung jury. This time, though, jurors reached a decisive conclusion.
Now that Dickey has been convicted, the sentencing phase of the trial will begin immediately.
