In southern California, an off-duty police officer pulled a gun on a man he thought was shoplifting a pack of Mentos.

Surveillance video clearly showed Jose Arreola paying for the candy, then putting it in his pocket.

The officer didn't see him pay and pulled a gun before asking the clerk if he paid.

The Buena Park police chief calls the video disturbing. An internal investigation is underway.
