Stabbing at McDonald's
Police say an argument between two men at a north Houston McDonald's led to one man stabbing and killing the other

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a stabbing that happened in north Houston last night.

Around 7:30pm, officers were called to the McDonalds restaurant at 2575 Fulton near Panama Street. Homicide detectives say a man and woman inside the restaurant got into an argument. The woman left and returned with a second man. When they returned, the two men started arguing and the 2nd man stabbed the first man, according to police.

"It looked like it was just an isolated incident," said Robert Lujan, Houston Police Department homicide division. "Basically when the suspect entered the restaurant, he went straight to the victim. It quickly escalated. The suspect stabbed the victim. The victim died."

The stabbing victim was taken to LBJ hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say the woman and the killer left the scene on foot.

Initially, police could not find the man and woman, but around 2:30am this morning, the man surrendered in the 1000 block of Booth Street. Detectives are interviewing employees and reviewing the restaurant's surveillance video.

There is no word on what the argument was about. Charges have not yet been filed against the accused attacker. Names have not been released.

"If anyone has information they can call HPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers (713-222-TIPS)," said Lujan.
