Man burned at Channelview energy facility

CHANNELVIEW, TX (KTRK) -- A man has been hospitalized after being burned at a Channelview energy facility.

Life Flight responded to a report of a burn at the Energy Investments Fund-owned plant on Sheldon Road.

The 32-year-old man is said to have been injured by a steam burn.

We do not yet know the man's condition.

The location of the plant is next door to Lyondell Basell's facility in Channelview.

The Lyondell Basell medical team came over to aid the man until Life Flight and EMS crews arrived.
