HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- For America's 250th birthday, H-Town celebrated like never before!
Thousands of Houstonians watched the sky over Eleanor Tinsley Park for Houston's big fireworks celebration, Freedom Over Texas.
Those celebrating at home got to enjoy 24 hours of ABC13 special programming with "Disney Celebrates America."
Coverage from Friday evening to Saturday night featured non-stop parades, parties, and pictures of America's natural beauty.

Sam Houston Park, located near Eleanor Tinsley Park, has transformed into Futbol Park on July 4 for fans to watch the World Cup match before Freedom Over Texas.
Starting at 4 p.m., patrons can watch the Round of 16 match between France and Paraguay on the stage set up in the park.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office shared with the public ways to safely and properly dispose of fireworks after a truck caught on fire.

Officials said that you should soak your spent fireworks for any duds in a bucket of water for at least 15 minutes, adding that they recommend leaving the debris overnight.
You should then drain any excess water, fire officials said, and place the firework debris in a sealable bag in order to maintain moisture, preventing the debris from drying out and reigniting.
Lastly, officials said you should place any bags of debris as far away as possible from your home or anything that could catch on fire and cause damage.
City officials shared an update Saturday morning on the preparations underway for Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park.

Joey Chestnut is a champion once again at the Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest at Coney Island.
Chestnut captured the men's title for the 18th time, downing 66 dogs.
Competitors consume as many hot dogs and buns as possible in 10 minutes, usually dunking the wieners in water first to make them easier to swallow.
