Harris has accepted the party's nomination.

CHICAGO -- The Democratic National Convention will kick off its fourth and final night Thursday.
After a week of Democrats' most prominent figures rallying the party faithful, Vice President Kamala Harris accepted her party's nomination for president.
The theme of the final night is "For Our Future," according to convention organizers.
ABC News will have special coverage of the DNC -- including primetime coverage from 10 p.m. until 11 p.m. ET on ABC and on ABC News Live from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. ET.
Gabby Giffords, who survived a near-fatal gun shot to the head, spoke Thursday night on how she survived the assassination attempt and the need for gun reform.

A group of about 40 unconfirmed delegates and supporters spent the night outside the United Center on the sidewalk, and remained there for hours on the last day of the DNC, Thursday.
They said they were waiting for a call, hopefully from party leadership, saying they've changed their mind, and will allow a pro-Palestinian speaker to address the DNC. But, that call did not come.
The protesters went back inside the DNC after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Gun violence is among the top issues in the Democratic Party's platform, which calls for an assault weapons ban and ending the gun industry's immunity from liability. In contrast, the GOP convention platform made no mention of firearm violence or gun control.
