Police: Woman kidnapped kids from Dallas store while dad tried on clothes

DALLAS, TX -- Police say a 23-year-old woman abducted two children from a Dallas store as their father tried on clothes in a dressing room.

Brianah Blount of McKinney is charged with assaulting a peace officer and two counts of kidnapping. She was being held late Thursday at the Dallas County jail.

Authorities say the boy and girl were with their father at a thrift store Wednesday. An employee of the store told police he saw a woman leave with the children, whose ages were not known.

Blount was seen later in the day at an apartment complex about five miles away. Authorities say she told police she had found the children.

Officers returned them to their father.
