Actor Kevin Hart donates $50,000 to help TSU's marching band perform at NFL Hall of Fame ceremony

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The TSU marching band just got a big boost from a major celebrity.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart donated $50,000 to help Ocean of Soul go to a prestigious performance.

Texas Southern has been invited to perform at the NFL Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremonies in Canton, Ohio where TSU alumnus and Houston-area native Michael Strahan will be inducted.

Band members will be participating in several fundraisers ahead of the August departure date.
