"Lunch angel" pays off balances of lunches at Katy ISD

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- Folks at Katy ISD are calling an anonymous donor there a "lunch angel."

Someone donated nearly $700 to pay off negative balances of students on the free and reduced lunch program at Mayde Creek Junior High, Cardiff Junior High, Mayde Creek Elementary and Mayde Creek High School.

"Katy ISD has its very own 'Lunch Angel!'" wrote the district on its Facebook page.
