ISIS forces killed a U.S. serviceman in northern Iraq, a defense official said today.
The U.S. defense official confirmed that around 9:30 a.m. local time enemy forces penetrated the Peshmerga front lines in Irbil. The serviceman was killed by direct fire. He was conducting his duties in an advise-and-assist capacity.
The ISIS attack was repelled by the multiple air strikes called in to support the coalition and ISIS forces.
