HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A week after Hurricane Harvey roared ashore, there are still some roads underwater. And in some cases, there's no quick fix.
With the amount of water on the West Beltway near Memorial Drive, the Harris County Toll Road Authority says it will be at least 10 days before they can conduct an assessment of the road.
Serious flooding has impacted locations all across west Houston. Spring Branch ISD remains closed with no immediate word when they will reopen.
A Centerpoint Energy substation remains underwater. A substitute station has been set up to help provide power in the area.
Water is beginning to recede in some neighborhoods. The Army Corps of Engineers says they are reducing releases from the Addicks and Barker reservoirs, so that should help ease flooding.
