Houston police officer crashes into tree

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Slick roads may have caused a Houston police officer to crash into a tree last night in southeast Houston.

That officer was headed to an officer assistance call to Slick Willie's on the Gulf Freeway near Tallyho Road around 11:50pm when her cruiser spun out and slammed into a tree.

The officer was treated at the scene and released.

No one else was hurt and no other vehicles were involved.
