Houston police officer accused of attacking pregnant girlfriend

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A Houston police officer is out on bond after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend who was five months pregnant.

Officer Jeramiah Lapaglia is accused of slamming his girlfriend in November after he found out she was texting her ex. According to a police report, Lapaglia slammed her to the ground and choked her.

Lapaglia, who has been an HPD officer since May, denied the allegations.
