One injured in house fire in west Harris County

HOUSTON -- Firefighters are battling a house fire in west Harris County, and one patient has been transported by Life Flight.

The blaze broke out at a two-story home on Clipper Winds Way at Barkers Green.

When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed, and they found a woman collapsed in the backyard. She had inhaled a large amount of smoke and they rushed her to a hospital on a helicopter. She was responsive.

Firefighters tell us she lived alone and no one else was in the home. A firefighter suffered minor burns on a foot.

There's no word what started the fire.
